The NiPS Summer School 2014 has started.

The fifth edition of NiPS Summer School devoted to "ICT-Energy: Energy management at micro and nanoscales for future ICT" is currently undergoing in Perugia.
The school is organized by the Noise in Physical System (NiPS) Laboratory of the University of Perugia and is divided into 3 specialized schools, through 5 days. In the first 3 days there will be common courses (General sessions). Day 4 and 5 are devoted to specialized courses under the 3 following parallel sessions:
- ICT-Energy summer school
- Landauer summer school
- PHIDIAS summer school

Micro-Energy Day

micro energies
What’s that?
With the term "microenergies" we intend all those "small" energies that are often disregarded as unimportant due to their apparently negligible weight but instead play a significant role in our daily life.
As an example… when you run out of battery in your mobile phone and really need to make that call !!! The amount of energy involved in this case is really very small compared to the energy that makes your car going but its absence appears to be very important to you…
Who thought of it?

ICT-Energy Community Workshop - Barcelona, 23-25 April 2014

ICT-Energy is a consortium among research groups interested in the role of energy in ICT devices.

The workshop will allow extended discussions and therefore foster cooperation between the project partners and the groups participating to the consortia.

The first day of the meeting is devoted to a short training course with 4 lectures on basic, introductory aspects of the science of ICT-Energy.

The workshop is open to the participation of all the interested people.

ICT-ENERGY LETTERS n. 7 - February 15, 2014

Dear colleague,

I am glad to announce the seventh issue of NANOENERGY LETTERS, that has now become ICT-ENERGY LETTERS.

This newsletter has been created since January 2011 within the research project NANOPOWER and within the coordination and support action project ZEROPOWER (both funded by European Commission, under the FET proactive initiative "Toward Zero-Power ICT" (2zeroP)), with the aim to help the circulation of news and thoughts about micro and nano energies, their potential applications and the physical foundations of this discipline.
